NYCN Ekiti chapter Meeting @Adunni Olayinka Women Development Center

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF THE CONCLUSIVE ELECTIVE CONGRESS OF THE NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA EKITI STATE CHAPTER HELD AT THE ADUNNI OLAYINKA WOMEN DEVELOPMENT CENTER, TODAY 12TH MARCH 2018.

The Congress of the National Youth Council Of Nigeria Ekiti State Chapter gathered at ADUNNI OLAYINKA WOMEN DEVELOPMENT CENTER ADO EKITI to elect the leadership of the organization that will paddle the affairs of the council for the next 4 years.
The Congress was witnessed the presence of security personnels, Ekiti State Ministry of Youth Development representative, and stakeholders of the organization in Ekiti State.
The Congress commenced at exactly 11am with an opening prayer led by Mr. Adedipe Olaitan, after which the electoral Chairman apologised to the Congress for the change of venue, which was due to the official engagements at the Stadium which was the initial venue.
Com. Akeem Adekunbi raised an observation on a purported election held on Friday 9th March 2018, which was Chaired by Hon. Jinadu Taiwo (The Outgoing Organizing Secretary).
The Electoral Chairman called on Hon. Jinadu Taiwo to shed  more light on the purported election. Hon. Jinadu Taiwo thereafter affirmed that the election held on Friday 9th March, 2018  is null and void, as he has consulted the constitution of the organization and that only the electoral Chairman has the capacity to call for the election and as such retraced his steps and humbly apologized to all members of the Council and called on all and sundry to support the new leadership coming on board.
Election Proper:
After accrediting all VYOs and Local Government chapters,  54 out of 97 VYOs and 10 out of 16 Local Government chapters were duly accredicted.
After proper election and voting had been conducted, the following candidates pulled the following numbers of votes and we're declared winners.

1. Office of the Chairman:
A. EYITAYO FABUNMI - 27 Votes.
B. ADEDAMOLA OGUNMOLA - 102 Votes - Winner
Void Votes - 19

2. Office Of The Secretary:
A. ADEOYE BABATUNDE - 42 Votes
B. JIMOH-GIWA AYYUB AKINOLA - 85 - Winner
Void Votes - 21

3. OFFICE OF THE VICE CHAIRMAN CENTRAL:
A. AJIJOLA OLUWASEUN - 51 Votes
B. OGANA JOSEPH - 94 Votes - winner
Void Vote - 1

4. PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER
A. FAMUYIBO OLUWASEGUN - 77 Votes - Winner
B. AWOYEMI ABIODUN G. - 58 Votes
Void Votes - 13

5. OFFICE OF THE TREASURER:
A. ASEFON SUNDAY DAYO - 44 Votes
B. ELESHO OLABODE - 83 Votes - Winner
Void Votes - 21

6. OFFICE OF THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY:
A. EKEMODE TOYIN O.  - 82 Votes - Winner
B. OYEYEMI ALEX A. - 23 Votes.
Void Votes - 43

7. ORGANIZING SECRETARY HQ:
A. HAMZAT ADEMOLA -.  Winner -Unopposed.

8. INTERNAL AUDITOR:
A. AROWOSAFE SAMUEL FEMI - Winner - Unopposed.

9. ASSITANT SECRETARY GENERAL:
A. LAWAL MEDINAT T.  - Winner - Unopposed.

10. ORGANIZING SECRETARY NORTH:
A. AJAYI OLUWADAMILARE - 56 Votes
B. OGUNLEYE OLUWABUNMI M. - 74 Votes
Void Votes - 18

11. VICE CHAIRMAN SOUTH:
A. AGBETUYI OMOTAYO - 45 Votes
B. ALABI KAYODE - 92 Votes
Void Votes - 11 Votes

Furthermore, the oath of office was administered to all winners of the election, while a bye election will be held at soon as possible to fill other vacant positions.
