FROM CHAPTER 1
The main character is by name, Tayo Ajayi, a 19year old boy as at his time

· In 1963, Tayo won a scholarship to study at Balliol college, Oxford, in England
· Mr Faircliff was the school headmaster where Omotayo had won the scholarship.
FROM CHAPTER 2
· Tayo suffered from motion sickness while travelling on the sea to England
· He made friends with two students on the ship, who are: Mr Lekan Olajide from Ogbomosho, and Mr Ibrahim Mohammed from Kaduna
· Tayo wrote a letter on the 27th of October to his father, however, his father got it 2weeks after
· Don’t forget the Ajayi motto: “In all things, moderation, with exception of study”
· Percy was Tayo’s scout in school hostel

· Isabella (Mrs Barker) had no child but had many adopted Nigerian children in England
· Tayo had another girlfriend called Christine, who had spent a good number of years in England and read modern languages
· There was an argument to know whether Shakespeare eas the greatest author of all time or Tolstoy and Homer
· Poets are greatest writers, this statement was made by Christine
