Gary Neville has described Eric Bailly’s own goal in Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Liverpool as 'messy'.
“I’m going to use the word ‘messy’,” Neville was quoted as saying by Daily Express.
“Of all the brilliant defending that Manchester United have done today, it’s a simple cross and a simple clearance.
“He gets his feet in a tangle at the near post. He makes a right mess of it.
“When you don’t get set at the near post as a centre-back, it can create a problem.
“De Gea parries it into his own net and it’s game on and Liverpool have got the momentum.
“He’s cleared so many balls like that today. A real mess from Bailly.”
