VITAMINS FOR SPIRITUAL HEALTH 2

SPIRITUAL PASSAGE: "8 When they were at the large stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa came before them. Now Joab was dressed in battle  armor; on it was a belt with a sword fastened in its sheath at his hips; and as he  was going forward, it fell out. 9 Then Joab said to Amasa, “ ARE YOU IN HEALTH, my  brother?”.........." 2 Samuel 20:8-9

Brethren, the principles of God’s Word work like spiritual vitamins. Therefore, For the next few days let’s look at some: never excuse in yourself what you accuse in others. King David did that. In confronting him over his sin with Bathsheba, Nathan the prophet told David a story about two men. One had many cattle; the other had only one lamb. When a guest came to the rich man’s house for dinner, he took the poor man’s lamb. ‘David’s anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said;…the man who has done this shall surely die! And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb …because he had no pity. Then Nathan said to David, You are the man! (2 Sam 12:5-7). Nathan continued: Thus says the Lord God of Israel …I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives …And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more! …You have killed Uriah [Bathsheba’s husband] …with the sword; you have taken his wife to be your wife …Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house;’ (2 Sam 12:7-10).

Brethren, at this point; David didn’t know it, but he pronounced his punishment with his own lips: ‘He shall restore fourfold.’ And David did. Firstly, the child he fathered with Bathsheba died. Secondly, his son raped his daughter and he didn’t have the moral authority to deal with it. Thirdly, Absalom, the beloved son destined to inherit his throne, fomented war and died at the hands of his own people. Fourthly, civil war broke out in Israel and thousands of people died as a result. Many people are guilty of this today; a lot of things happens at the background but we pretend as if we are the most holiest (saint) in the open; we are quick to judge others, we are very fast in crucifying people.

Many of us are not capable of looking after our homes (family), many people are failing in their primary assignments as parent , many husbands/wives are not qualified to be addressed as husband/wives, even in our official environment some bosses are not good leaders/managers but such people can condemn every step of the government as if they can perform better if given the opportunity! The lesson is clear: never accuse in another what you excuse in yourself.

Pray: 1. Lord I thank God for the grace to know the Truth. 2.  Lord I ask for the grace not to judge others quickly 3 Lord I want you to endow me with the spirit of righteousness in Jesus mighty name. Amen

CONFESSION: Lord Jesus, I receive grace to always hearken to your voice, devil I resist you and your voice from now on, I receive power to be spiritually sensitive to the things of God and to do what is right always in Jesus name.
