THE TEMPTATION OF EASY SATISFACTION

"Just when you look back and consider,
Whao! So this is how far I have gone?
Don't be too swift to give in,
To the limiting walls your environment may deliver".

•It was yet dusk, that graceful moment,
As i perched on an average leveled brick on the outside,
My mind so glued at the yearnings of childhood,
That I almost became unfeeling to the breeze and coldly atmosphere,

•My thoughts dashed to those days in elementary,
Oh, you remember those times we selected playlets even as kids?
With casts reflecting our expectation in the nearest future,
Little did we know, we registered those dreams upon our spirits, even with much vigour, and a profound enthusiasm,
As we smiled, hoping someday, we would feature in such exciting picture.

• But then, as we ascend in age, exposure and experience,
Somehow, we became too conscious of the limitations in our environment,
We forgot the pursuit of accomplishment once on our juvenile minds,
Worst of all, a delayed progress becoming a celebrated success,
Damn! We just forgot the conception!  

• Probably, we didn't really forget,
But just that we allowed it,
Right in our eyes, those aspired peaks snowballed into plains,
 My heart breaks as I write,
Even more as I see princes deny their royalty.

• We became expects in manufacturing reasons for our failures,

Genuinely, I know some came from; Lack of sponsor, delay, discouragement, loss, depression, attacks and battles,

But much more do we understand that there are numerous stars in the firmament,

Yet with a king who knows each and calls it by name,

Isn't that amazing?

How then can you be forgotten?

You are relevant in God's agenda.

•Years roll in and out,

We yielded to the temptation of the norm,

The prevalence of easy satisfaction,

But deep down, we know we are more than this.

Bit helplessly, we were quieted in spirits, 

•Fortunately, the saviour emerged,

His name is Jesus,

Asking how far can you see?

Again he added, no matter the wasted years, opportunities, talents, time, and life,

Can you trust me with your ALL this time?

And you shall recover all.

The temptation of easy satisfaction will be unsurmountable without a greater influence,

That greater influence is JESUS.

You and I cannot do without HIM.

Hallelujah!
