Don't trivialize God-given opportunities

IT was Friday noon, 18th of January, as I hurried to beat the heavy traffic in the somewhat scorching sun, 🚋got on a 'red bus' heading my destination in one of the major cities in my country , although I was going to stand all through in this bus; so long it was the fastest I could afford, I didn't bother at all. Few minutes into my entry on this transit, an incidence helplessly elicited my lacrimal glands.

There was a misunderstanding between the bus driver & one of the ticket-takers, so this fellow decided to grip our bus conductor away to get some punch(beatings). As such, D driver with the almost 40passengers couldn't move an inch. After several beatings, the young man (must be in his early or mid twenties) got back, one would have thought the driver would at least pacify him, against whatsoever reason at which he was spanked, alas, this young handsome man was lashed yet bitterly with insults. Later on he requested for some money, someone had to give him. Glory!

But tears trilled my eyes with head bow saying; LORD, What difference have I from this young man, yet treated with such contempt & pain? Could anything have been done to avert this ugly state for this brother?

WELL, we can always trust the HolySpirit, he replied, with two (2) statements, one of which I'd like to share, he said; You see this right? Then, don't take my opportunities for granted. My heart wept the more, as I heard this.

Dear reader; Are there ways you or I have been taking his opportunities for granted? Oh! You think everyone has the privilege of going to school? Yet, he gave you that opportunity, but, you feel you can just walk about and handle that with levity? He clothed you, even gave you a house, oh! You need to see the multitude of persons who sleep beneath the bridges still struggling to make a living,

You were even complaining that you've been taking much of rice recently, haaa, have you forgotten, some others rigmarole (move aimlessly) with no hope of feeding daily? Perhaps, he gives you the privilege of being a counsellor, nurse, doctor, or pharmacist and you feel you can just handle those patients anyhow? Or you are a teacher, and you have not yet considered that the Knowledge you impart into those students as a crucial tool that can either make or Mar their destinies?

Are you passionate about talking to young people? Are you disappointed to see students fail exams? Do something "Godly" about it ! Don't just be sad, Do something!!!

Problems are inevitable, but self-pity is optional. Get off your pity Spot

         -John Hagee

You are given that opportunity to be a blessing ! God gave it. Don't trivialize it.

Because, Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.  (John 1:16)

Shalom
