SILENCE; A 2-SIDED COIN

SILENCE:

Latin word  "silentium".
It is described as the state of quietness, stillness, whist.
One can imagine how busy and ironically silent the world is today, the fact is; Silence is a virtue often untapped and abused (oxymoronic right?)
Now; I've realized in my little study that most people think of silence in just one perspective, but No! It's a two-sided coin, pros and cons respectively, I trust the Lord that has we study this little piece together, you and I will be greatly enlightened.

An analogy:
There once was a farmer who discovered that he had lost his watch in the barn. It was not an ordinary watch because it had
sentimental value for him.
After searching high and low among the hay for a long while;
he gave up and enlisted the help of a group of children playing outside the barn. He promised them that the person who found it would be greatly rewarded.
Hearing this, the children hurried inside the barn, went through and around the entire stack of hay but still could not
find the watch. Just when the farmer was about to give up looking for his watch, a little boy went up to him and asked to
be given another chance.The farmer looked at him and thought, “Why not? After all, this kid looks sincere enough.”
So the farmer sent the little boy back in the barn, however with uncertainty. After a while the little boy came out with the watch in his hand! The farmer was both happy and surprised and so he became curious and asked the boy how he had succeeded where the rest had failed.
The boy replied, “I did nothing but sit on the ground and listen. In the silence, I heard the ticking of the watch and just
looked for it in that direction.”

Great! You said? Yeah! That's just a side.

FEW LESSONS:
1)A peaceful mind can think better than a worked up mind. Allow a few minutes of silence to your mind every day, and see, how sharply it helps you to set your life the way you expected!

2) Silence instills confidence to produce strength. (Isaiah 30:15)

3) In quietness, you can hear better.
A wise man once said:
" In the attitude of silence the
soul finds the path in a clearer
light, and what is elusive and
deceptive resolves itself into
crystal clearness. Our life is a
long and arduous quest after
Truth.

WHEN AND WHERE YOU NEED SILENCE
1) When there's noise everywhere

2) When an important decision is to be made, a brief period of silence may be essential.
This is because in silence;  Our senses triple sensitivity.

3) When you're hurt at times, just let it diffuse in silence. However, if it gets worsened: Voice out! No grudges!
And so on...

The other side of the coin silence....
Mandy Hale, A notable Christian Author wrote: "Don't waste words on people who deserve your silence, sometimes, the most powerful thing you can say is nothing at all".
