SPIRITUAL PASSAGE: "12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace." - Romans 6:12,14
People of God, 1 John 3:20-21 says that if your heart condemns you, you wont have boldness, you wont have authority, and you won't be able to access what belongs to you. If your heart condemns you as a result of the sin in your life, it will affect what you receive. Even your prayers will be affected. Your relationship with God will be affected. You will live in fear, doubt, and unbelief. You will even doubt whether God will bless you. There will be no assurance that what you are standing in faith for will happen. You will find out that you are inadequate and that you are imperfect.
You will also discover that you won't be able to rebuke the devil, because he will highlight all the things you have done wrong and bombard your mind with them. So it is very important that you know how to break the bondage of sin over your life. 1 Corinthians 15:56 also says that, the strength of sin is the law, so where there is no law there is no sin.
Brethren, As long as there is law, sin is empowered and sin abounds. Romans 3:19 says, Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and the world may become guilty before God.
This scripture shows us that not everyone is under the law. Knowledge of sin comes from the law. So how do you break the dominion of sin? The answer is simple: by living above the law. How do you live above the law? By living consciously through grace. Understand and settle it in your heart that Christ came and fulfilled the law. He freed you from the bondage of the law. So why do you do what you do? You act out of love for God. So, what should I do if I want to take away sin? Remove the law! That is why Jesus came (1 John 3:5). He was manifested to take away sin. Jesus has paid the full price for sin; your part is to receive His gift and walk in the fullness of the victory wrought by Christ Jesus.
SOULMEAL: 1 John 3:10-20, Romans 8:13, Daniel 8-10, 3 John.
Pray: 1. Lord I thank God for the grace to know the Truth. 2. Lord I ask for the grace to live above sin in Jesus name. Amen.
CONFESSION: Lord Jesus, I receive grace to always hearken to your voice, devil I resist you and your voice from now on, I receive power to be spiritually sensitive to the things of God, Lord because you are the Lord that knoweth all things; Lord I am more than conqueror and I have dominion over sin in Jesus mighty name. Amen
