JUST DO WHAT GOD CALLED YOU TO DO

SPIRITUAL PASSAGE: "13 We, however, will not  boast beyond measure, but within the limits of the sphere which God appointed  us—a sphere which especially includes you. 16 to preach the gospel in the  regions  beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s sphere of accomplishment.  - 2 Corinthians 10:13,16

People of God, nobody is good at everything, and nobody is called to do everything. God has given each of us clearly defined roles in life. Paul understood that his job wasn’t to accomplish everything or try to please everyone, but to focus on what God had called and equipped him to do: ‘Our goal is to stay within the limits of the work which God has set for us.’ Only as you do that will you be successful, as God defines success. Satan will try to rob you of the joy of serving by getting you to compare yourself with others, or getting you to conform to the expectations of others. Don’t fall into his trap! You’ll always find someone who seems to be doing a better job than you, and you’ll become discouraged. Or you’ll find someone who doesn’t seem to be as successful as you, and you’ll become conceited. Either way, you lose out.

Beloved, Galatians 6:4 screamed ‘Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.’

There will always be people who don’t understand your God–given role in life or agree with you. That’s okay but never mind; don’t let such discourage you or break you down! ‘Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed…’ (2 Tim 2:15). ‘Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.’ (Titus 2:15). John Bunyan, author of the Christian classic, Pilgrim’s Progress, wrote: ‘If my life is fruitless it doesn’t matter who praises me. And if my life is fruitful it doesn’t matter who criticises me.’ So, just do what God called you to do! Don't bother yourself on people's opinion! Do have a fulfilled service.

SOULMEAL: Isaiah 63–66, John 13:18–30, Psalms 114, Proverbs 27:20–22.

Pray: 1. Lord I thank God for the grace to know the Truth. 2. Lord I ask for the insight, strength and the power to focus on my calling and every spiritual assignments before me in Jesus name. Amen.

CONFESSION: Lord Jesus, I receive grace to always hearken to your voice, devil I resist you and your voice from now on, I receive power to be spiritually sensitive to the things of God, Lord because you are the Lord that knoweth all things; I am empowered to fulfil my ordained destiny and calling in Jesus mighty name. Amen
